If you get an error "The Siebel Server Communications applet is required in order to run this application. Please close the browser and login using a new browser window." while starting up the Siebel Client ( e.g. Siebel Call Center), you can resolve the problem by following steps mentioned below:
In IE, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced and uncheck the Sun JVM and check the MS JVM. Restart the client and things should be good.
This is likely the cause of a JVM error. Apparently, there are some discrepancies between the MS and Sun JVMs. You may have more than one jre version installed on your system. If it is so, remove all the JVM's and try to install only what is required.
